
Masoud Movahed
I am a doctoral candidate in Sociology (with a minor in Economics) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My interests primarily lie in economic sociology, social stratification, and development. Most of my work uses computational and quantitative methods, but I retain a keen interest in the comparative historical methods.

My works have appeared in Harvard Economics Review, Harvard International Review, Foreign Affairs, Cambridge Journal of Economics, Journal of Development Matters, Yale Journal of International Affairs. A several other writings have also been published in World Economic Forum, Aljazeera English, and Aljazeera America,

Prior to coming to the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a Ph.D. student, I completed an M.A. in Economics and Sociology from NYU, where I also worked as a Research Associate for about two years.
